Arriving to the
Whitsundays.
There are numerous ways to find your way to the Whitsundays
and Airlie Beach just in time for the boat show. You
can fly into "Whitsunday Coast" (Prosperpine) using
Jetstar or Virgin
Blue. You can also fly into Hamilton
Island with Virgin Blue, and Jetstar. Transfers are
available.
You may also like to consider catching a train to Proserpine with
Queensland Rail or catching a bus service with Greyhound or Premier Bus Services.
If driving in from surrounding areas, be sure to watch
your speed and not miss the turn off for Airlie Beach
on the northern side of Proserpine. Airlie Beach is
25 minutes drive from the Bruce Highway.
If you are really lucky, you could sail in along the
magnificient Queensland coast and berth your vessel
at Abel Point Marina.
Getting to the show on the day.
As there is no parking at the venue, you can park your
car at Centro Shopping Centre car park and use our "park and ride" free service on
Whitsunday Transit buses to the venue.
The buses will run all day. If you are staying at
Airlie Beach, or Cannonvale, you may like to consider
taking a
refreshing stroll along the Bicentennial walkway which
weaves around
the Airlie Beach foreshore. The walk from Airlie Beach
centre is just 15 minutes.
